The Col de Vars is
the "lowest" of the Alps you will pass. It's still 2.108
metres and connects the Ubaye Valley with the Queyras
Valley.
You cycle from the small town of
Guillestre over a
beautiful winding road and climb 1.141 metres over a
distance of almost 20 kilometres. The pass is one of the
only roads in this section of the Alps and has been
included in the Tour de France 33 times. |
