The Pyrenees is the
name of the mountain range constituting the natural
border between France and Spain with the small
Principality of Andorra sandwiched in between. From
Ax-les-Thermes in the south of France you climb via a
long and winding road to the summit of the
Port d'Envalira of
2.408 meters (7.900 feet) and into Andorra. With two
weeks of serious exercise on the rolling hills of France
you will manage to reach the top.
It's also the highest point of the tour providing
magnificent panoramas of the Pyrenees. And, even more
important, a long satisfying downhill is waiting for you
into the largest town of the Principality,
Andorra La Vella. |
